Circus of Rituals’ latest feat, “Dollars To Donuts”, is the cautionary tale of Buddy and Mitch - Two All-American brothers growing up in the late 1970’s, who find themselves in over their heads when they attempt to commit a robbery to help finance their dreams.
Dollars to Donuts won Best Film, Best Director, Best Cinematography and Best Acting at the 2009 San Diego 48 Hour Film Project.
One particular challenge in shooting Dollars to Donuts was the car scene - the last scene of the day. We were quickly losing light. We made the most of the camera's ability with the help from 2 LED panels. This was the winning combination to pull off a great scene.
