Assigned to ride the U.S.S. John C. Stennis on her voyage to her new home port in Bremerton, Washington, I produced and submitted a story originally aired on Navy-Marine Corps News.

Unpredictable weather created an unforseen opportunity to make a more dramatic piece of an otherwise ordinary voyage. For Underway, I was able to envision how the story was going to be edited as it unfolded. Working this way with the story in the back of my mind prepared me to shooot for the outcome no matter what it turned out to be.
